Stan and Joan Geel acquired the apple farm over 20 years ago. The farm was expanded to include wine grapes and blueberries in addition to apples.
Stan initially began his career in agriculture and gained experience in South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. He subsequently received further education and entered the biomedical field. He retired from a university position as a research scientist and administrator. Joan is a retired Physical Education teacher, gymnastic coach and national level gymnastics judge.
